Multi K and Vitamin D3 Combo (60ct x2)

Vitamin D plays a substantial role in the regulation of calcium and maintenance of phosphorus levels in the blood, two factors that are extremely important for maintaining healthy bones. We need vitamin D to absorb calcium in the intestines and to reclaim calcium that would otherwise be excreted through the kidneys. You also need vitamin D for other important body functions.

Without vitamin K, the body cannot produce prothrombin, a clotting factor that is necessary for blood clotting and bone metabolism. Vitamin K is used by the body to help blood clot.  Vitamin K is also absolutely essential to building strong bones, preventing heart disease, and crucial part of other bodily processes. Vitamin K plays a key role in helping the blood clot, preventing excessive bleeding. Unlike many other vitamins, vitamin K is not typically used as a dietary supplement. Vitamin K is actually a group of compounds. The most important of these compounds appears to be vitamin K1 and vitamin K2.  

Why do people take vitamin K?

Low levels of vitamin K can raise the risk of uncontrolled bleeding. Vitamin K is also used to counteract an overdose of the blood thinner Coumadin.
